RE'CHELLE TURNER

Re’Chelle Turner is a reporter at KPRC, the NBC affiliate in Houston, Texas! She joined the Channel 2 News Team in July of 2020.

 

Before moving to the Lone Stare state, Re'Chelle was a general assignment reporter and Multimedia Journalist at KARK and Fox 16 KLRT, the NBC and Fox affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas.

 

She landed her first on-air job at KSWO 7News, the ABC affiliate in Lawton, Oklahoma working as a Multimedia Journalist.

 

Re'Chelle started her career at WJTV, the CBS affiliate in Jackson, Mississippi. There, she was a Producer for WHLT News and Mississippi's CW for WJTV.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. While in college, Re’Chelle completed internships at WVUA-TV, WBRC FOX 6, WIAT CBS 42, ABC 33/40, and she served as a correspondent for ESPNU Campus Connection.

Re’Chelle is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Houston Association of Black Journalists, and values community service. In her spare time, she enjoys judging pageants, talent shows, and emceeing events.

 

She loves trying new foods, college football, gymnastics, and Houston sports!
